IPvX Bot is a Chat Assistant designed to help with network and security related queries, troubleshooting and handling frequent tasks.
IPvX Bot is free for all webex users with no extra registration.
To use ipvx bot:
- Add
ipvx@webex.bot
in a space *Send a command to it by typing@ipvx help
which shows the help menu with the full commands list. - Or send a direct message to
ipvx@webex.bot
- Send a command to it by typing the command directly ex:
help

Use case 1: executing certain commands from an external source.
- Using
isup <url>
to check if the mentioned url is reachable from the bot's point of view or not which may confirm or negate the issue you're facing. - Executing
ping
against your company's public IP.
- Using
Use case 2: Other frequently used tools like:

ipcalc <subnet>
which returns the details of the provided subnet.hex2ip
orip2hex
can help with when debugging on some firewalls that show the IPs in hexadecimal format
